Academic Advising

We believe that students benefit tremendously from personal guidance by counselors and advisors, and encourage you to seek out those opportunities. Undergraduate Education and Advising (UEA) offers both group and one-on-one advising with students. Meeting with a counselor or advisor can help plan your academic path and ensure you meet all the requirements needed to receive your degree.

Advising Services

A wealth of advising information is available on this web site. Answers to many common questions can be found in our Frequently Asked Questions, as well as in the UC Davis General Catalog. The General Catalog can be:

If, however, you cannot find the answers to your questions, or need to speak with a counselor we welcome you to make an appointment with an academic advisor. Advising appointments can be made using our Online Appointment System. Appointments are available Mondays through Thursdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 4:00pm and Fridays from 10:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Please bring Photo Id.

Residence Hall Advising

Advising services are also offered at the residence hall advising centers in Segundo, Tercero and Cuarto. Academic advising is available Mondays through Thursdays from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Tutoring in math, chemistry, and writing is available Mondays through Thursdays from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
